Washington, D.C. Photographer | My Journey to DC

For those of you that have been following my journey to the East Coast (maybe via Instagram or Facebook) you'll know that I made it! It's been a wild ride to get here and things have continued to surprise me since moving. First off, our uboxes, containing all of our stuff, didn't arrive...yeah that was fun. Just kidding! It was awful actually.
And then my roommate had issues with FedEx and Verizon. Not to mention my phone just decided to stop working. It's not been easy, but I'm happy to say my roommate and I made it and for that, we are thankful.

Since arriving, I've had a full week of sight seeing with friends and then a full week of trying to figure out where I can work, what I can make at home with just an oven and no pots/pans, and where things are in this new city with a phone that's mostly broken.

You can say it's been a slightly rough transition, but I'm happy to say that I'm now here and I'm ready to start taking pictures *all* the time :D It's really beautiful here in DC and there are so many historic things to photograph you will probably get tired of seeing them ;)

Well, until next time (hopefully next Monday when we get internet - fingers crossed) I'll say good bye. Though I will add that if you are coming to DC or know people in and around the area looking for a photographer I am now booking in my new location! //Insert squeal of joy// Can't wait to start meeting the residents of DC from behind my camera lens.
